A lived life is where my homeland is

Rolling meadows and swirling memories

Of moments in time, envied by the present

Will they ever return even if I try?

Flowers still bloom unseen in my homelands wilds

Like an unknown sigh from the depths of my heart

Rummaging for bliss from those poignant shores

Why do we chase an elusive dream in faraway lands?

Than to rest in our homeland’s shades?

Because life is but an alluring spree

Of man chasing the horizon with inexorable glee
